When Fluid Kinetics (Ventura, CA) first came to EJS for bellows seals for their silencers, high-pressure expansion joints within the line to the silencer were very expensive. EJS, in co-operation with FK, developed a design which accommodates the thermal movements while utilizing the low pressure side of the silencer. This reduces the overall cost to the end user substantially.

The designers and engineers at EJS worked closely with the Fluid Kinetics' engineering team and later both companies were able to develop a design that put the expansion joint inside the silencers, creating a simpler and safer design. The results were even lower costs.

Today, Fluid Kinetics offers one of the most competitive silencers on the market when expansion joints are required in the connecting lines. Other silencer manufacturers have now approached EJS for a similar resolution.
